Nice Ice, Nice Day

To attempt to fix the sand in my ice problem, I have done multiple resurfacings using The MIM. This seems to have worked quite well. It has both built up the ice over the sand, but also, the cloth on The MIM has dragged much of the sand to the side of the rink. It gathers there and freezes which is fine as we stay away from the sides for the most part. In 24 hrs. the ice has made a dramatic comeback.

Danny and I returned from his practice this morning and set out to test the rink. The sun was warm and the ice was cold and slippery. We were skating around in just t-shirts until the clouds moved in. We did some fun drills and also played "shootout." The sun felt warm but the temperatures were just above freezing. Looks like another week of cold coming up.
