All Clear!
I scraped the thin layer of snow off the ice this morning. It was stuck to the ice so some elbow grease was required (the first time I heard that expression I was 16 and was mopping the floor at Market Basket. Mr. Flanagan, the Manager, came over and showed me the proper technique, which apparently required more "elbow grease"). Very cold today (16 deg) and very windy. I am sure there will be some snow drifting onto the rink. But that's ok. I am happy with what I have.
Happy 3rd Birthday
I was never a fan of cats. However, we got Manny 2 1/2 years ago and she's pretty cool. Named after Manny Ramirez, she plays both catch (she's a better fielder than the real one) and fetch. When we got her at 6 months old the vet. said her birthday was sometime in February, so we decided Valentine's Day would be it. The kids love her so much and she is a huge part of this family. Deb made a chocolate cake to celebrate Manny's birthday.
