Projections
We have a Stanley Cup playoff board going on here at the Millin household. Here are the picks of household members:
Buffalo Sabres: Caroline and Danny (smart kids)
Detroit Red Wings: Debbie (gotta love a woman who gets into hockey)
New Jersey Devils: Scott (must emphasize I can't stand NJ!)
All three teams beat their first round opponent. We are so smart. Caroline updates the East standings and Danny the West. I am responsible for smiling when they do so.
Dejections
Deb's company had to give layoff notices to 93 people a few weeks ago. This Tuesday is their last day. 93 is a big number, and many lives have been, and will be, impacted. Some of the employees have been with bcgi for years, and many were friends with Deb. Deb has had to make many hard decisions these last few months, and watching the company spiral downward these last couple of years has been difficult. She is now largely responsible for the future of the company. Deb has always been a tremendous leader. If anyone can bring the company back it is her.
Convection
Got a new oven and it has a convection feature. Bakes nice and evenly....got a problem with that?!
