I guess having a rink mirrors life in that you have a lot of ups and downs, and the key is to keep an even keel.
Danny had an afternoon hockey game in Saugus today (never a fun commute). He played East Boston -who handed them a nasty 9-1 loss only 2 weeks ago. But today, Chelmsford played a great team game, and won 6-4. It was a great feeling to see them celebrate and reap rewards for playing so well and trying so hard. Danny scored twice and had 3 assists.
We got home as it was getting dark, and Deb and the kids cuddled on the couch, had popcorn, and watched a movie. I went out to the rink and skated for an hour or so and worked up a sweat. The ice is very good and I hope it gets more use over the next couple of days.
Danny and I have to get up early for a 6 a.m. game!
