Bush is an embarassment to this country...oh wait, I speak of a different platform.
Earlier in the "winter" I made a bench for us to sit on while we put on our skates. However, the bench sits on the edge of a small deck that surrounds our hot tub, and there is 4 feet of lawn between the decking and the rink. Stepping with skates onto the grass and snow that lies between would dull the skate blades in no time. So, using 2x4s and plywood, I built a small platform to bridge the gap between bench and rink. I then cut-to-fit an old rubber pick-up truck bed liner my neighbor (thanks Jim!) had lying around and donated to the cause. The liner can be easily shoveled and is black and should attract the sun to help melt snow/ice that accumulates on top.
26 deg. at day time but tomorrow to be near 50. :(
I am constantly having a tug of war with myself about when to flood: "flood, don't flood" "Finkle, Einhorn. Einhorn, Finkle".
