Rink geek that I am, I joined a Yahoo backyard rink group. The members are freaks like myself from Canada and the US who share their stories of success and failure, and once in a while, offer some good advice. One day I got an IM from a guy who lives in nearby Littleton, MA. After lots of messaging about the rinks, and other stuff, we decided to get the families together. So, they came over and we had a great time - we skated for almost 2 hours! Then we spent another 2 inside, eating food that isn't good for you, drinking cocoa, and sitting by the fire while the kids played. It was a great day, and possibly the last day that the rink could be used this winter. I could think of no better way to end the season. The rink made us some new friends. Sure, when they have their helmets on =). But all kidding aside, hockey players are quite handsome, at least when they're playing...kind of like rock band members.
