Breaking It Up Isn't Hard To Do

To accelerate the melting of the ice, we had Mason play on it to help break it up. He chased a few tennis balls into the water, and wouldn't stay out of it! At one point he simply layed down in the freezing water.

There were a few "icebergs" left after he played in it for a while, and the kids used them as rafts. The shovels were the oars. Steph, Caroline and Danny were soaked by the end of the day, but the 70 degree temperatures made it tolerable. Jimmy and Carl had a giant water table to play in and were the muddiest, wettest two boys I might have ever seen!
