A Grand Vacation

We're baaaaack! After 7 days in Sedona, AZ and 2 in Scottsdale, we are home again.

My sister Nanci joined us from RI, and the 5 of us did so much, in such tremendous heat (116 deg. one day), and had an incredible time.

The kids have seen amazing landscapes, wildlife, and cultures. They ordered and ate grilled and fried cactus; watched wild quail in their backyard; gone on a rugged, off-road jeep tour; seen Native American ruins that are hundreds of years old; witnessed the grandness of the Grand Canyon (Danny's description was "it's too big to think"); stood on a corner in Winslow, Arizona (it's not really such a fine sight to see); and rode around in an H3 for the week.

And when we weren't doing all of that, we were lounging around the pool, playing with friends we made, or reading a book and taking a nap (ok, the napping part was mostly me).
