During a game last week I was tripped and I crashed into the boards, skates first. I had to be helped off the ice, and I thought I had done some serious damage. Turns out the only lasting damage done was to my skate. My thumb should not disappear into the toe as it does in this picture. I loved those skates. They were only 3 years old, and they were light and so comfortable.
I bought a shiny new pair of Reebok skates. They are not as nice and not as light, but they were much more reasonable in price than a new pair of Eastons - that could break again. Expensive isn't always better (cue the "Hallelujah!" chorus mom).
....And Without Deb I'd Still Use Dippity Do
BUT, I am all about comfort. I like things that I am familiar with - a route to drive, a shirt color to wear (blue or blue....sometimes white), a hair gel, or a routine for doing laundry (wash, dry, fold, leave on the floor for 3 days hoping it puts itself away).
I don't like change. I like what I know and I like what I have. Danny is just like me in that regard. And the women in this house thrive on change, and actually seem to look for ways to -gasp- try new things.

Except for the Dippity-Do (Chris has been sporting a #1 all-around buzz for years), Chris could have written this last paragraph practically verbatim. No wonder you guys bonded in college! Sarah
