After snowblowing and shoveling the inside of the frame (again!) today, I said to myself, "self, let's do it." While the snow was changing to sleet, I unrolled the liner and began flooding. That was at noon. At 9:00 pm, it is getting near full. Another couple of hours and it should be ready for the frigid temps we are expecting. Contributions to my water bill can be made via PayPal.
As the ice from last year's rink was melting, the kids scooped some up and put it in the freezer where it sat all year. Here are Caroline and Danny casting last year's ice into the water for it to become one with this year's. I can only hope it brings the success we had last winter.
It was miserable out there. And I didn't have any fire or beer to keep me warm!
