The Four-em is Open! - for now

The ice was thick enough this morning to go stand out it and pass the puck around. Danny and I did so before school. I was able to get many leaves out of the surface. There are still more that I want to pry out, but not sure if I will be able to do that before the snow arrives this afternoon.

I also was able to put up the kick plates around the high boards, and sliced the excess liner above the kick plates, so now it looks more like a rink.

The ice is so clear and you can see right down to the liner. As soon as I finished, the sun burst through the clouds and immediately started melting the surface. Hoping we can skate on Christmas Eve.

He's not so nimble without his skates!

I attempt no nimbleness w/o skates. I could wind up with another hernia!
