Endings, first.
Rapid Finishing is Finished
After ending the regular season in first place, Team Rapid went to pieces in the playoffs, posting a paltry1-5 record in the playoff round and failing to even qualify for a consolation game. We played flat, uninspired, and downright ugly hockey. My linemate and friend, Andy, separated his shoulder early on and was out for the last 5 games. Jack and I had to play with someone different on our line every game and we never had the chemistry we are used to.

Middles, second.
Sickness Running Ramped
All five of us (don't forget Kim) have been through the wringer this week. Stomach aches, headaches, coughs, endless nose blowing, and fever. You name it, we've had it and we are still fighting through it. Caroline missed 2 days of school this week and Danny missed 1.
Kim's Training for Work
Before setting off to wander parts of Europe and Asia, Kim was a personal fitness trainer in San Francisco, CA. She was recently hired as a trainer by the gym (Best Fitness) that Deb and I belong to and has been employed there for one week. She is doing quite well and has taken in several clients and has tortured Deb and I with several training sessions.
Beginnings, last.
The Cup Quest
The Stanley Cup playoffs have begun. All six of us (Kim AND Manny included) have chosen a team from the Western and Eastern Conferences to make it to the Finals, and then made a Cup winner prediction. I regret one of my picks already, and sadly, Manny is the only one to have both teams at 2-0 at this point.
Cottage Coming Together
We opened the cottage at Summer Village. Due to all the sickness in the house and our crazy schedules, we haven't spent as much time getting it ready for the summer as I thought we would. However, some furniture is in, selected walls have been painted, and we look forward to getting the house ready for a fun and relaxing summer.
